CHECK that ANIMAL for a MICROCHIP- Gregg County, Texas now has access to 5 Community Microchip Scanning Stations available 24/7 to check for a chip.
Each station gives our community another easy, accessible way to help lost pets find their way home. Every scanner station helps increase the chances that a lost animal can be safely reunited with their family!
How it works:
• If you find a lost pet, bring them to one of our community scanner stations.
• Follow the posted step-by-step instructions to scan for a microchip.
• When a chip is found, the station provides details on how to contact the microchip company.
• The company will then reach out to the pet’s owner on your behalf to help get that furry friend home!
Remember: always scan slowly over the pet’s shoulders, neck, back and sides and be patient, as some chips can migrate.
Every scan makes a difference.
