Longview P.A.W.S. (Pets Are Worth Saving) was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2016 for the purpose of supporting the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center in Longview, Texas. Our mission is to raise awareness in our community of the shelter's immediate and long-term needs, fundraise for the benefit of all animals in Gregg County, facilitate donation drives, coordinate and implement proactive community outreach efforts as well as serve as an animal welfare resource.
The PAWS & Effect Project is an umbrella of Community Outreach initiatives that impact the lives of animals in our East Texas Community. Every dollar donated to this Project goes directly into supporting our Spay it Forward free Spay/Neuter program, our #NinaEffect Community Vaccine/Microchip Clinics and our PAWS Pet Pantry. Each program plays a pivotal role in helping animals lead happy, healthy, enriched lives and reduces the number of unwanted and stray animals in Gregg County, Texas.

Longview PAWS is the 501c3 nonprofit supporting the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, the open-admission animal shelter in Gregg County. We are not a rescue or shelter and do not have a brick-and-mortar facility. We do not accept animals and have no decision-making abilities regarding animals within LACAC.
If you need assistance with an animal and reside within Gregg County, we encourage you to contact the shelter during business hours, 12-5 PM Tuesday through Saturday, at 903-297-7387.
LACAC, like all animal shelters and rescues in the South, are overloaded with intakes and should be your absolute last resort in rehoming an animal.
There are many ways to get involved with Longview PAWS such as volunteering your time in or out of the shelter, attending one of our community events. Please navigate our website for more information and stay update on all happenings on our social media platforms.
